Landscapes

I engage critically with how we as humans position ourselves towards nature and landscape. Which role media plays in that relationship is a major concern.

The landscape that unfolds itself piece by piece is one of my favourite study objects. It is more than space. I perceive it as surrounding, which holds and nourishes me with air and soil.

Landscapes are not only crucial for my work, more than that they are crucial for my being. They are my passion. Especially when they come along in a very rough and mysterious way. I like to discover and depict landscapes more like a movie scene that comprises a hidden story, a hidden life.
